Lady Dons Split Weekend Games

Freshman guard Rheina Ale led the team with 21 points staying perfect on the floor with 9-9 from the paint and 3-3 from the three point line. She tied USF’s all time top shooting percentage in a game. This has not been achieved since 1986 when Teri Hunt went 11-11 against LMU. Senior guard Shay Senior center Necolia Simmons had her second double-double of the season (seventh in her career at USF) giving the Dons 16 points and 16 rebounds. Junior guard Danesha Wright also had a double-double (her first of her career) with 10 points and 12 rebounds. On Sunday the Dons did not come out on top as they fell to Washington State 83-71. Rollins led the team with 19 points along with four assists and six rebounds. The Dons could not keep up with Washington State as they went on an 8-0 run to start the game. But the Dons were able to pick up their game half way through going on a 10-0 run. But their energy did not carry onto the second half and they gave the Cougars an 8-point win.
