If you consider yourself passionate about strictly legitimate news then Digg might not be for you. Digg started as a site for the geekier surfers of the web, but it can relate to almost any user. From headlines to lolcats, most can be found within the pages of Digg.
The concept behind Digg is simple. Members of the site can post a link (within reason) to anything they find online. A headline and short blurb pertaining to the webpage’s content will be shown. Once the link is posted other users have the chance to “digg” the post if it’s of superior quality. Only the most highly dugg links appear on the front page, and there is also a space for the top ten. What does this leave for the viewer? An abundance of hilarious images, videos and breaking news stories.
