Below is a listing of all the press releases from the San Francisco Foghorn at the University of San Francisco.
This week the editors of the Foghorn decided to do something a little different with the paper in honor of April 1st and the tomfoolery that generally accompanies this day which has been celebrated around the world for centuries. As you have probably (hopefully) already suspected, some of the articles in this week’s issue were completely fabricated. These articles appear on pages one, two, and 10 and contain fake stories, interviews and quotations the staff deemed amusing and appropriate April Fools’ banter. The rest of the paper – that is, pages three through 9 – contains the real news of the week as it would normally appear in the Foghorn. For example, the front page story about Father Privett locking himself in his Loyola House residence in the face of foreclosure on the property was fabricated by yours truly; however, the article about the spring break photo contest which appears on page 3 is real, honest-to-God news. We hope you enjoy this issue and hope university administrators don’t mind our lighthearted teasing.
Happy April Fools’ Day.Sincerely,
Hunter Patterson
Editor in Chief
San Francisco Foghor
