Dakota Duran, Opinion Editor: sQwers Japanese Restaurant would have to be my favorite. The owner is so friendly and always greets me with a smile, a hot green tea and miso soup. Their dragon roll is to die for and I always leave with a full belly and happy memories.
Sophia McCrackin, Copy Editor: Blue Danube Cafe is my favorite Richmond spot. They make this grilled cheese that changed my life with slices of tomatoes inside the sandwich. It is like the perfect bite of grilled cheese and tomato soup.
Jordan DelFiugo, Managing Editor: Tastebuds is my go-to restaurant when I want to grab a quick breakfast or lunch with friends. Located on Fifth avenue, the family-owned restaurant is only a quick walk or bus ride away from campus. They offer a wide range of comfort foods, with my favorite menu item being the fried chicken and waffles.

Elina Graham, Scene Editor: Cinderella Bakery & Cafe is an amazing spot that has been around for over 70 years! Every time I go, I try to get something different, whether it’s a chocolate rum roll, a Napoleon cake or a piroshki, and I always sit outside in their parklet.
Anthony Faustin, Online Editor: The Laundromat is the place to be in the Richmond. Not only is it an amazing place to work (I would know), but they also serve the best bagels you’ll probably ever have in California. At night, The Laundromat turns into a full-service pizza restaurant. One of my favorites is the broccoli pie with Calabrian chili sauce. The Laundromat also hosts a weekly Wednesday burger night, serving smash burgers.
John Lindroos, Sports Editor: Cielito Lindo would be my favorite restaurant in the Richmond District. They have a large menu, and their breakfast burritos are amazing. I like the bean and egg burrito.
Sophie Pleitez, Social Media Manager: My favorite spot is the Karma Cafe. There is so much decor on every inch of the walls. They have a huge menu from drinks to sandwiches to pastries. They also invent limited edition drinks for Halloween! My go to order is a turkey BLT and a mango smoothie.
Tasneem Lukmanjee, General Assignment Reporter: My favorite thing to grab before going to Golden Gate Park is a bowl of Palmetto Superfoods. The closest branch being located on Third avenue, this acai spot is an easy walk from the LME steps. With a huge variety of bases and toppings, it’s one of my go-to spots.
Deeya Gupta, News Editor: K-Elements, it’s all you can eat Korean barbecue for $36.95. The meat is juicy (or maybe that’s just because I’m a great chef), the banchan are crisp and refreshing, and the corn cheese feels like a warm hug. When I go here I mean business; I wear comfy clothes, tie up my hair, and go with an appetite. At the end they offer a complimentary ice cream scoop! You will definitely be in a food coma, but it’s so worth it.
Jordan Premmer, Editor-in-Chief: I love C.Q. Noodles located on Clement St. in the outer Richmond. Their spicy lamb Chong Quing noodles are so delicious. The quaint restaurant is often filled with people chatting over noodles, dumplings and their signature complimentary plum tea. The prices are affordable and it’s only a five minute walk from my apartment so I often find myself there in my pajamas. It is truly the best Chinese restaurant I have ever been to.
